Here’s what our makers are saying:
“I highly recommend Jenn’s embroidery workshops, courses and patterns! The workshop instruction was clear and easy, so it was great for beginners. It was nice to spend time with other moms and have a moment to relax, connect, and work on something for ourselves. I was excited to leave with a project to continue working on, and I am looking forward to completing more of these courses and patterns!”
“I had such a wonderful experience at this embroidery class. The instruction was clear, encouraging, and thoughtfully paced, making it enjoyable for all skill levels. I left feeling inspired and confident, and I can’t wait to keep stitching. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try embroidery or sharpen their skills.”
“I was already a crafty mom, constantly having a work in progress of some sort, but I found myself going through months of periods where I couldn’t decide what project to start next. Then I’d find myself substituting my me time for doom scrolling.
Jenn’s courses gave me an easy button! Her designs are adorable and the videos gave me amazing tips to improve on techniques and learn new ones. And the best part is I know when I finish one banner or garland the next one is right around the corner!
The final product is so cute I can see remaking them year after year for friends and family just to get to repeat the relaxing and rewarding creation process.
Big plus? My kiddo was enamored with every single design as I worked on and finished them.
Thank you for this wonderful course and opportunity for happy, positive and productive me time that I don’t have to overthink and plan, just enjoy.”
“I had such a great time at Jenn’s embroidery workshop. We made a very cute Santa mug ornament, and even as a beginner with some embroidery experience, I felt completely supported throughout. Jenn was patient, encouraging, and made everything feel fun and approachable.
She had all the supplies thoughtfully prepared in an adorable box, which made the experience feel special but also easy and stress-free. I brought my baby along, and Jenn even held her so I could use two hands to work on my project - truly above and beyond.
She also included a licensed therapist who spoke about mental health, with a focus on maternal mental health, which added such a meaningful and thoughtful layer to the experience. It was the perfect mix of creativity, connection, and real-life mom conversation. Crafting AND emotional support? Yes please!
A wonderful way to spend an afternoon with other moms, learn something new, and leave with something cute you made yourself. I’d absolutely recommend Jenn’s workshops.”
“I absolutely loved this embroidery course. It’s so thoughtfully laid out and never felt overwhelming, even as someone newer to the craft. I completed an entire Christmas garland and I’m really excited to make more.
At first I was intimidated, thinking this may be too hard for me, especially with a newborn. Then I just went for it and it’s been the best hobby for me.
Embroidery has become something I do just for me - a relaxing, joyful way to unwind at night. It’s even helped ease my anxiety by replacing doom-scrolling on my phone. What started as a class has turned into a meaningful creative practice that brings joy not only to me, but to my family as well.
I’m so grateful that Jenn shared her talent and craft, and I truly hope others get to experience this course too.”
hi, i’m jenn 👋🏻 artist, mama, and founder of Saltwater & Ivy - named for my love of the ocean and my daughter, who believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself
my creative spark came back to life in late 2024, right in the middle of what I didn’t yet realize was severe postpartum depression. one modern embroidery workshop with two dear friends changed everything, as it gave me something that felt like me again
now, i design courses, patterns and kits to help moms who feel stretched thin reconnect with their creativity. if you’re craving something that’s just for you, something that fills you back up at the end of a long day, you’re in the right place
i’m here to cheer you on, inspire you, and remind you that you’re still in there. you deserve this 💖

You've got questions. I’ve got answers.
If you are completely new to embroidery, I recommend my “From Hoop to Home” course plus the Starter Pack! This will give you step by step guidance plus the materials you need to get started stitching without the headache of shopping for all the main materials! Once you have the knowledge and materials, you’ll be able to make everything with just the patterns or kits!
My patterns include the PDF template you need to transfer the designs to your felt, plus a PDF of recommended colors and stitches.
The kits include everything listed above plus the materials you need for that specific pattern (felt, thread, yarn, water soluble paper, and command hooks for hanging your finished product)
Nope! Everything is hand stitched. You’ll only need basic tools like embroidery floss, felt, a needle and scissors.
My patterns are for personal use only. You’re welcome to make them as gifts or for your own home, but please don’t sell finished items or the designs themselves.
