From Hoop to Home is my signature mastercourse for makers who want to confidently design and create embroidered children’s decor from start to finish.
This course goes beyond a single project or pattern. Inside, you’ll learn the foundational embroidery skills, design approach, and finishing techniques needed to create a wide range of embroidered children’s pieces - including garlands, name banners, ornaments, keepsakes, and more.
Rather than following along with one prescribed outcome, you’ll learn how to think like a maker: how to choose stitches, scale designs, personalize pieces, and turn your embroidery into finished decor that’s ready to hang, gift, or pass down.
Each lesson builds on the next, giving you the confidence to move from your hoop to a polished, home-ready piece - no matter the project.
By the end of the mastercourse, you won’t just have completed projects. You’ll have a repeatable skillset, creative clarity, and the ability to design embroidered children’s decor on your own.
You’re ready to move beyond beginner projects and patterns
You want to create multiple types of embroidered children’s decor
You love slow, meaningful making and heirloom-quality finishes
You want skills you can reuse again and again - not just one result
Use the template to print and trace the designs onto your water soluble paper to stick onto your felt before stitching. The pattern will help you with thread and felt colors needed, and stitch suggestions. The key is helpful if you want to see a close up of each ornament to help you with your guidelines/stitch direction.
Everything you need before getting started!
These are all the stitches you’ll need to know in order to complete any of my garland patterns.
In this lesson I’ll walk you through the stitching process of an entire seasonal garland so you can see the different steps and my thought process when designing my patterns.
Take a look at all the seasonal garlands you’ll be able to create at the end of this course (patterns included):
